Delivery of 4×1266m³/min Blue Carbon Tail Gas Screw Compressor Units

2025/10/15 450

Project Name:Delivery of 4×1266m³/min Blue Carbon Tail Gas Screw Compressor Units

Location:Xinjiang, China

Date:June 2025

Overview:

The company successfully delivered four 1266m³/min blue carbon tail gas screw compressor units for Xinjiang Jiaguo Weiye New Energy’s 600,000 t/y coal tar hydrogenation project. This achievement marks a breakthrough in the industrial application of ultra-large flow process screw compressors.

Blue carbon tail gas contains hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide, mixed with tar, dust, and sulfur compounds. As a flammable and toxic gas, it imposes stringent requirements on compressor reliability and technology.

Highlights:

Ultra-High Capacity: Each unit compresses up to 250,000 Nm³/h of blue carbon tail gas.

Process Adaptability: Engineered for dust-, acid-, and tar-laden gases.

High Reliability: Supports continuous operation up to 24,000 hours.

Innovative Design: Developed with Kaishan’s proprietary large-flow compression technology.

This project demonstrates Kaishan’s capability to deliver reliable, high-efficiency compression solutions for complex coal chemical applications.

Project Background:

Part of Xinjiang’s “14th Five-Year Plan” key construction projects, the facility represents a total investment of RMB 7.3 billion and covers 1,700 mu.
Main outputs include:

3.6 million t/y blue carbon

600,000 t/y naphtha, diesel, LPG, coal pitch

180,000 t/y LNG

350,000 t/y methanol & acetic acid
